Many a time I've missed a beat
Of the evening sonata
Loitered in the unwalked alleys of life,
In shameless pursuit of a dwelling
Which I could call my own....
At last in tired refrain,
I sheltered my tired limbs
At the shady crossroads of life..
And blabbered away
Some nonsense lullaby
From old forgotten days...
The crowd passed by, in negligence..
Who cares more
For a moonstruck soul?
I thought--''yes, this is the end of my road.''
And then, out of the blue,
Came gusty winds
And thunder clouds
On dusty roads...
And stormy breeze
Blew to and fro....
And then,
Galloping on the cloud's rein,
Came raindrops...
With the monsoon bliss,
Like a lover's kiss..
Came showers,
On the shady alleys, again...
On the clattered doors,
On the window panes,
The raindrops sang
A soothing tune to my thirsty ears..
A music long forlorn..
I rose.
Garments...
Fell off my mundane skin,
Like withered leaves.
I walked...
I walked the path
Of my good old days,
Of green pastures
And azure seas...
The memories of my love...
Among the blinding rain
And marshy winds,
I walked...
My soul drenched in the melodious rain...
The rhythm of blood
Dancing in my vein...
The only murmur of love....
''You are my theme for a dream..
Yes you are...
A rare and lovely theme.''
